ANNUAL FLOWERS
Work into soil at 2 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. during final preparation of plant beds. For ongoing feeding, use 1 lb. per 100 sq. ft. every 8 weeks.
ESTABLISHED PERENNIAL FLOWERS & SHRUBS
Apply evenly in early spring at 2 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. For ongoing feeding, use 1 lb. per 100 sq. ft. every 6 weeks. Stop feeding one month before frost.
BULBS & TUBERS – BED PLANTING
Work fertilizer into topsoil at 2 ½ lbs. per 100 sq. ft. before planting.
VEGETABLE GARDENS
Before turning soil, spread 2 lbs. of fertilizer per 100 sq. ft. onto the soil. Or, after turning, work 2 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. into soil at a depth of 4 to 5 inches before planting. For vegetables planted in rows, add ¾ lb. per 100 sq. ft. of fertilizer in trenches two inches deeper than the seed or plant and two inches to the side of the row. Long growing crops (tomatoes, corn, carrots, cabbage) should be fertilized every six weeks at ¾ lb per 100 sq. ft.
TREES
Apply monthly at the rate of 4 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. directly under the dripline (the area beneath the outer edges of the branches) of trees.
Pro Tip: Apply when plants are actively growing in spring and fall. Avoid fertilizing stressed plants (due to heat, drought, pests, or disease), and don’t spread granules onto wet foliage. One pound is equal to about 1 2/3 cups of product.
Coverage Area varies depending on type of garden. See back panel for full application guidelines.
