FOR ANNUAL FLOWERS
Work fertilizer into soil at the rate of 2 lbs. (3 1/4 cups) per 100 sq. ft. (10 ft. by 10 ft. area) during final preparation of plant beds. During the growing season, make additional applications at the rate of 1 lb. (1 2/3 cups) per 100 sq. ft. every eight weeks.
FOR ESTABLISHED PERENNIAL FLOWERS AND SHRUBS
Apply evenly in early spring at the rate of 2 lbs. (3 1/4 cups) per 100 sq. ft. Make supplemental applications of 1 lb. (1 2/3 cups) per 100 sq. ft. every six weeks. Stop feeding one month before frost.
FOR BULBS AND TUBES - BED PLANTING
Work fertilizer into topsoil at rate of 2 1/2 lbs. (4 cups) per 100 sq. ft. of bed before planting.
FOR ROW PLANTING
Apply fertilizer in trench or row at the rate of 1 1/4 lbs. per 100 linear feet. Mix fertilizer in soil at bottom of trench and cover with approximately one-half inch of soil before planting bulbs.
FOR VEGETABLE GARDENS
Before turning soil, broadcast 2 lbs. (3 1/4 cups) of fertilizer per 100 sq. ft. (10 ft. by 10 ft.) or after turning, work 2 lbs. of fertilizer per 100 sq. ft. into soil to a depth of 4 to 5 inches before planting. For vegetables planted in rows, add 3/4 lb. per 100 sq. ft. of row in trenches two inches deeper than the seed or plant and two inches to the side of the row. Long growing crops (tomatoes, corn, carrots, cabbage) should also be side-dressed with 3/4 lb. fertilizer per 100 ft. of row at six weeks intervals.
FOR TREES
Apply monthly at the rate of 4 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. and directly under the drip line of trees. Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected. Apply this product only to your garden, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street,
back onto your garden.
