How much do I need?

If unsure about the size of your lawn, general guidelines are that a typical 1/4 acre lot with home, driveway, walkway and landscaping requires a 5,000 sq. ft bag. A 1/2 acre lot with a home and landscaping features typically requires a 10,000 sq. ft bag. For larger properties from 1 to 2 acres or more, you will need to estimate the amount of additional grass area and include these in your coverage calculation..

Coverage

Best time to apply

For northern cool-season turfgrass: 1-2 weeks prior to the onset of favorable conditions for annual weed grass seed germination. Usually in the early spring season.

Reapply 4-6 weeks later to prevent the germination of goosegrass.

The quality as I stated before was good. The value of how much you get vs what you'd spend leaves some to be desired but overall satisfied.

We applied and re applied as directed. There was enough to do 2 applications in early spring. We are waiting now to see what the second year of application looks like. Very happy with the results from the early spring applications. Looking forward to this spring and how the fertilizer does over the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Crabgrass fertilizer from Great Crabgrass Control Great product! This lawn food worked great on our grass! It definitely controls crabgrass and fertilizes the lawn. After application, in about a week or two we noticed a difference in how vibrant and green the lawn had gotten. Our lawn is nice and green!! I would most definitely recommend this product!

It is still early in this season but as of right now my crab grass is at bay. I am hopefully as the season goes on it stays that way

We have one particular area of our lawn, about 1/4 acre out of the 2 & 1/2 acres, that just seems prone to having crabgrass grow and we wanted to put an end to it. I applied it early this Spring before the crabgrass would normally appear and this product has prevented it from emerging. We are so happy. Our area has had a mixed bag of weather for Spring but it didn't affect the effectiveness of this product. The grass is green and lush, crabgrass-free and weed-free, and summer isn't even here yet. It is so easy to apply and spreads exactly as it should. I highly recommend GreenView Crabgrass Control + Lawn Food. It's well worth buying/using.
