If you've been involved in lawn care, gardening, or farming for any length of time you are already aware of the valuable assistance provided by your local CES office. If you are unfamiliar with your local state cooperative extension, visit their websites from the links provided below. You will find a local resource that can answer lawn care questions for your specific region. For example, they will usually provide soil test kits, assist in identification of pests and diseases. They will also provide recommendations for lawn care practices for your area. Whether it has to do with lawn fertilization, grass seed, soil conservation or farming, these folks are experts and can provide you with research-based information. Periodically we will update the "Specific Topics" for each State Cooperative Extension.
